A quick guide to setting up an opentrac gateway

As this software and opentrac itself is still in active development there is not yet much documentation. This document intends to describe the basic steps involved in getting your system up and running.

First we start by downloading the libopentrac library and the otdigi packages. They can be found at http://sharon.esracle.ele.tue.nl/users/pe1rxq.

We will continue with installing the library:

tar -xvzf libopentrac-0.0.1.tar.gz
cd libopentrac-0.0.1
make
make install

The last step should be done as root and will install the library in /usr/local/lib and its header files in /usr/local/include. At the moment it is not possible to change this except by editing the Makefile by hand.

Next come the applications:

tar -xvzf otdigi-0.3.tar.gz
cd otdigi-0.3
make
make install

The last step will be configuring... Copy configuration file to your /etc directory:

cp opentracio.conf /etc

And edit it to suit your usage.
